Father's Day

I think it is funny that I am blogging about Father's Day at the end of July, but we have been busy with vacations, photography, and just enjoying the summer.  So, my blog just hasn't been much of a priority.  Anyway, here are a few fun photos of our day together celebrating Travis.

We had a photo shoot on Balboa Island and decided to just spend the rest of the day there as a family.  We took Hudson into a toy shop for the first time.  It was so cute seeing the reaction on his face.

We took a walk around the island:

Eating sandy apples (yuck):

Hudson loves to look at Travis' face while riding on his shoulder. :)
Of course, we had to eat the famous frozen bananas... which Hudson loved!

Then a we ate lunch along the waters edge overlooking the Harborside Pavilion where we had our wedding reception:

Hudson has been really into picking flowers, smelling them, having you smell them, and then saying "pretty".
Travis is a wonderful dad and really takes time to invest in Hudson.  I think one of his good "dad traits" is that he really tries to never be too busy for Hudson.  He often stops what he is doing if Hudson wants his attention.  He can make Hudson laugh harder than anyone.  He has been a hands-on dad since the beginning and I really admire him for that.
