ahhh...

There are times when I just feel so old fashion in nature.  I just love evenings that are spent sitting around the living room with family enjoying conversation, laughter and music.  In some ways, I believe the modern day television has stolen so much from our families which is why Travis and I have decided to cancel our cable.  We want to spend time together talking, reading, playing music and enjoying each other without being glued to a tv screen.  Don't get me wrong, we do enjoy an occasional movie with a big bowl of popcorn. However, I have a big stack of books I have been wanting to read, plus we just ordered both Crazy Love and Forgotten God by Francis Chan.

I just love sitting down with a hot cup of tea, reading a book, listening to music, enjoying good conversation, talking a walk, sitting on the beach at night, doing something crafty, sitting down to play piano, going for a run or just listening to the sound of crickets at night or a thunder storm outside (let's be honest, the latter only really only happens when we visit Trav's family in Ohio).

All this to say, these are the reasons I just love this video.  There really isn't much to it, but our family sitting around enjoying each other and music.  It's just simple... and that's why I love it.




On a side note... I can't remember the last time I laughed as hard as I did in Ohio when Chad would play music like this while singing lyrics that he would make up as he went along.
